This six-session online workshop series is dedicated to supporting Indigenous women through culturally informed learning, relationship-building, and healing. The program offers a welcoming and supportive environment where women with lived experience, community members, and emerging advocates can connect, share knowledge, and strengthen one another through collective support.
Participants will explore topics such as recognizing patterns of violence and coercion, understanding trauma and its impacts on the body, developing healthy boundaries, navigating difficult conversations, creating personalized safety plans, and rebuilding confidence and self-determination. Alongside personal growth and wellness, the series incorporates peer-support and advocacy development, empowering participants to become sources of strength within their families and communities.
Grounded in Indigenous values of connection, respect, and reciprocity, this initiative seeks to foster healing, increase community capacity, and promote long-term wellness. By strengthening both individual and collective resilience, the program contributes to preventing violence and supporting safer, healthier futures for Indigenous women, families, and communities throughout Duncan and Vancouver Island.
