Domestic Violence Workshop: Understanding Feelings

This workshop will be led by Dr. Juanyetta Beasley, a registered nurse, doctor of health administration, devoted mother, and survivor of domestic violence. Through her own journey of healing, Dr. Juanyetta has faced tremendous adversity and found strength in the lessons that emerged from her experiences. Rather than keeping that journey to herself, she has chosen to use it as a source of inspiration and guidance for other women who may be navigating similar challenges.

With compassion, empathy, and a deep understanding of the emotional complexities that come with healing from trauma, Dr. Juanyetta creates a space where women feel seen, heard, and supported. Her workshops are not only informative but also deeply personal, rooted in both professional expertise and lived experience.

The focus of this session is on understanding feelings. Participants will be encouraged to explore the emotions that often arise after experiencing domestic violence, including fear, sadness, anger, guilt, and hope. Through meaningful conversation and reflective practices, Dr. Juanyetta will help attendees recognize, name, and begin to process these emotions in a safe and supportive environment. This workshop is an opportunity to take an important step toward emotional healing, connection, and empowerment.
