Safe Spaces: An open discussion about Allyship

As the world is rapidly changing and adjusting to different social norms; it is inevitable to feel as if you are not doing enough as an ally to the marginalized communities you are supporting. Understand that you are not alone. Many other individuals are feeling the same way. That is why we are hosting an open discussion about our experiences of navigating our journey to be better allies towards racialized women.

The purpose of this discussion is to create comfortability with being wrong or incorrect, promote adaptability in allies and to learn how to communicate with one another to get to the end goal we all desire; equity, equal rights and empowerment of racialized women. We will be having productive, critical and open-minded conversations in a safe space where people can share and enjoy common stories and questions.

All are welcome to attend and take part in our event, but please take note that this discussion is meant to be a safe space for all individuals. We want to create a community of support and no judgement.

This event is made possible thanks to funding from the Canadian Red Cross and the Government of Canada.
