Food With a Side of Community: Supporting Refugee Mental Health
Dr. Nancy Clark
Nancy's research is informed by social justice, intersectionality and equity-oriented health policy. Research area focuses on intersecting determinants of mental health of immigrants and refugees and people who experience forced migration. As a first-generation immigrant from Palestine and the former Yugoslavia, racialized nurse and interdisciplinary scholar, Nancy comes to this work with a deep commitment to improve barriers to healthcare services and the promotion of culturally safe mental health care for groups who may experience structural vulnerability as a result of their migration status; to promote inclusion of intersecting determinants of mental health for policy and practice.
