SNIWWOC is so thrilled to invite you into a space of creativity, culture, and connection, led by two incredible Indigenous artists who bring so much heart to their work: Jayce Harry and Céline Mickey.
Jayce Francis is a proud Coast Salish artist from the Tla’amin Nation, and her love for her culture runs deep. She began beading at five years old, and what started as making ribbon skirts for her daughters has grown into a powerful practice of teaching and sharing. Jayce has facilitated workshops rooted in healing and cultural expression, working with organizations like SNIWWOC, NEC, and the Vancouver Aboriginal Community Policing Centre. Her workshops aren’t just about making, they’re about reconnecting, storytelling, and reclaiming space through art.
Céline Mickey is an Indigenous artist, entrepreneur, and proud mother of two, whose practice is all about honouring her roots and passing on knowledge. Whether it’s basket weaving, beadwork, or her work with JehJeh Media supporting Indigenous storytelling, Céline weaves culture, land, and love into everything she does. Her energy is grounded and inspiring, she reminds us how art can be a bridge between past and future, self and community.
This workshop will take place in Jayce’s home territory of Tishosum (Powell River), offering not just a chance to learn traditional art forms, but to be part of something deeper: a space for healing, sharing, and honouring Indigenous ways of knowing.
Come with open hands and an open heart.
We can’t wait to create with you.
