Circle of Support: A Domestic Violence Workshop

  • Collective Space 166 Station Street Duncan Canada (map)

SNIWWOC and VIRCS host the third of five workshops on domestic violence, offering legal guidance, support, and community connection.

The Support Network for Indigenous Women and Women of Colour (SNIWWOC), in partnership with the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society (VIRCS) Newcomer Women’s Project, is honoured to invite you to the third session in our five-part Domestic Violence Workshop Series.

This session is designed to help you understand your legal rights and the options available to you, offering guidance as you navigate challenging personal or family situations with clarity and confidence. Our guest speaker from Rise Women’s Legal Centre will share practical insights, answer your questions, and highlight the support and resources accessible to you and your loved ones.

We’re committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where you can learn, listen, and participate in whatever way feels right for you. Whether you choose to simply observe or feel ready to engage, your presence and experiences are valued.

A meal will be provided, giving us a chance to connect, build community, and find strength and support.

All participants will receive an honorarium for their attendance. In-person attendees will receive a higher rate to reflect travel, time, and on-site engagement
