Breaking the Silence: Legal Tools & Support for Domestic Violence Survivors

  • Collective Space 166 Station Street Duncan Canada (map)

The Support Network for Indigenous Women and Women of Colour (SNIWWOC), in partnership with the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society Newcomer Women’s Project, is honoured to host the first session in a series of five workshops focused on domestic violence awareness and support.

These workshops are designed to empower you with knowledge, confidence, and clear direction when navigating personal or family-related situations. In this first session, we will welcome a guest speaker from Lacroix Law who will share valuable legal insights, offer guidance on your rights, and provide practical steps you can take to protect yourself and your loved ones.

This is a safe, supportive space where you are encouraged to listen, learn, and participate at your own comfort level. Whether you wish to simply attend quietly or ask questions and engage in conversation, your presence is welcome and respected.

Food will be provided, and we hope this gathering also serves as a moment of community, connection, and support among others with shared experiences and journeys.
