Virtual Town Hall #Representationmatters: Indigeneity in the Arts

JOIN US on zoom Monday October 26th at 7PM PST.

Everyone from all walks of life are invited to attend this online event.

This will be an opportunity to meet with ten Indigenous youth artists based in Victoria & Vancouver that will be presenting new artwork for the #representationmatters: An Indigenous Artist Exhibit. This digital exhibit will be presented in October and November as well as in a gallery here in Victoria, BC.

They will share with you some of their experiences as artists as well as contribute to conversation around Indigeneity in the Arts. This will also be an opportunity to have conversations around why representation matters and how that carries over in not just the arts.

Some of the guest mentors that have provided mentorship to the youth artists over the past few weeks will also be joining in.

This online event will be held live, Monday, October 26th at 7PM. The discussion, which will include ten Indigenous youth artists, community leaders and residents, will be hosted on Zoom and also live streamed on Facebook.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the event, but you’re welcome to email questions in advance to Miranda the Program Coordinator at Miranda@sniwwoc.ca
