Hidden Juncture, 2020

Created by Chantal Solomon

Acrylic, Watercolor, Red Willow & wax cord on canvas

Ancient cycles of conquer & destroy may wound spirits. Yet the 'hidden juncture' remains accessible to all who show up.

I’ve always been fascinated by the overlaps in different ancient cultures and the polarization of others. As a mixed ancestry person finding my personal truth between the cultures I was exposed is an on going process. We are in time where it is vital that we come together and create new possibilities despite our differences. I try to practice art from a state of being that is open to process rather than strict outcomes. Our communities need antidotes to the grind of modern day living. By showing up and sharing the results of my work. I can only hope to provide a brief moment of reprieve from the dominance of western culture.
