Join us Saturday, June 7 at KWENCH in Victoria for a dinner to remember multiple relatives and families that have children and loved ones missing from their homes due to systemic violence. We gather in their honour, and in the honour of the many other families with missing or murdered relatives and children across Canada.

Free tickets for families of victims and survivors: Contact us to get your free tickets via email to info@sniwwoc.ca or by calling us at 250-277-2545.

Tickets open to supporters and allies can be purchased here.

Please note that we only have limited tickets available so only reserve a ticket if you are absolutely sure you will attend. No-shows are not acceptable for this event.

This workshop will be led by Dr. Juanyetta Beasley, a registered nurse, doctor of health administration, devoted mother, and survivor of domestic violence.

The focus of this session is on understanding feelings. Participants will be encouraged to explore the emotions that often arise after experiencing domestic violence, including fear, sadness, anger, guilt, and hope. Through meaningful conversation and reflective practices, Dr. Juanyetta will help attendees recognize, name, and begin to process these emotions in a safe and supportive environment.

This workshop is an opportunity to take an important step toward emotional healing, connection, and empowerment.

Dental Hygiene Program and the New Canadian Dental Plan

Canada recently opened up their Canadian Dental Plan to serve more Canadians! The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal initiative aimed at making dental care more affordable for eligible Canadian residents.

While it provides significant coverage, certain gaps still exist.

SNIWWOC’s Dental Hygiene Program is designed to address these gaps, ensuring comprehensive oral health support for low-income Indigenous women, women of colour, and their children in Victoria, BC. You can access our Dental Hygiene Program to receive basic dental services right away. Our program offers dental hygiene check-ups and cleaning only.
