Health Collaborative

SNIWWOC’s Health Collaborative is an avenue to promote collaboration between medical professionals and indigenous and immigrant service providers, specifically in the areas of gender, disability, and sexual orientation.  The mission is to advance indigenous and immigrant women’s health by convening local partners to share information, build networks, and advocate for improved health access, and improved cultural competency.

The work of the health collaborative is informed by the values of fostering inclusion, increasing community engagement, and highlighting diverse newcomer voices and experiences, bringing newcomers to the table, and responding to the needs of diverse immigrants and indigenous peoples.
